Richard has coached for a number of hockey clubs including Firebrands and Team Bath Buccaneers working at both Ladies West Prem 1 and National League levels. He has a proven track record of delivering results whilst developing junior athletes and bringing talent through from lower sides within the club. 

Richard has extensive junior coaching experience having coaching within the Player Pathway at Development Centre (previously JDC), Academy Centre (previously JAC), Performance Centre and Futures Cup. He currently works as a Head Coach at Avon for Development Centre and Academy Centre. He is also an assistant coach at Bristol Girls Performance Centre.

He was previously a Centrally Contracted Coach at Bristol JRPC and was previously the Head of Junior Hockey at Firebrands HC with over 200 juniors in their academy at the time.
